Driving test prep sites are not helpful Some of them are not, but some others are. Be careful while subscribing to a permit test prep courses. There may be some sites with incorrect information and not enough study materials. The first check is to see if they offer free sample tests. If they have good sample driving test questions, they should have good question sets for paid subscription. Also look for what kind of driving test information you can find on the site. 5. If you have a driver's license and move to a new state, passing the DMV test there is easy Not always. This is same as the point 1 above. DMV test is not a driving skill test and unless you know all the driving rules and recognize all the road signs and symbols, you will fail no matter how good a driver you are. As a rule, try to do the following in sequence: a) study the state DMV material thoroughly, b) request a friend, family member, or colleague to ask you questions from the DMV manual, c) take as many paid or free mock tests as possible, When you feel comfortable, book an appointment.
